Inclined "vertical" windows in LENI, LENICALC and XML files

To handle windows which are neither vertical nor horizontal a variation has been added to the standard. Basically the inclined window is converted into a horizontal roof-light or a vertical window:

  1. For roof slope angles larger or equal to 75° the EN 15193-1 model for vertical facade windows shall be used.
  2. For slope angles smaller than 75° the EN 15193-1 model for roof lights shall be used after a geometric adaptation of the room height and the window size in the equivalent room.

Here is an example of before and after for type 1, where the (slightly) sloped window is converted into a vertical window:

Here is an example of before and after where the (very) sloped window is converted into a roof- light:

Since these two variations are always connected to a wall in the building they have been implemented in LENICALC as variations on the vertical window. Here they both are in the interface and XML of the project:

In the XML a new branch SlopeParamsV (shown above) is added into the Window branch in the case where the VertWinType is 1 or 2. (0 is the normal vertical window.)

In LeniCalc the AD areas of the different types is shown in the interface:
